Dalembert never plays this good, only when he thinks he wants to prove something…such as today. Sorry rockets fans sammy will never play this good ever again, its only because hes mad we didint choose to resign him.
Damn, I seriously think Jerry & Grant are probably the best commentary combo out.
So far most other commentators are too one sided. I mean for them saying Reke was the only player to go 20-5-5 since Oscar Robinson….then they say how important it is to check scouting reports….hahaha
I just think Thomas just fits in more. Jimmer is different from them. He’s a short white guy that grew up in a different culture. It seems like they like Isaiah more since he’s more similar. It’s hard to flourish in the environment like that. Might be a good idea to trade him to the Suns, quite honestly.
It’s just hard for them to relate. It’s really different when everyone around you isn’t in the same type of culture of LDS mostly white people. As a BYU student, I can attest to that. It’s nothing about race. It’s just about it’s difficult to relate.
I feel like Jimmer can establish himself and learn to fit in like I think Salmons has. It really is tough, though. Pretty much the whole campus of BYU is a lot of the same type of people. The teammates are white LDS athletes. I’m not saying they’re any better than other athletes, it’s just kinda different. It’s hard to say unless you’ve lived in Provo and have tried to adapt to living in a different area again.
But the constant excuses are grating. He’s a rookie, he’s allowed to suck. His shot hasn’t disappeared forever, and when it comes back, he’ll make a fine 2 guard. I just don’t see him running an offense given the speed and talent he’ll be dealing with every night.
There’s a reason why every team doesn’t have a Chris Paul. That’s not a shot at Fredette, and if you must take it that way, it’s a shot at 80% of the guards in the NBA.
I don't see it being a chemistry issue from the players' standpoint.
Fredette has been playing with and against all kinds of people since middle school, presumably, so if there is a chemistry issue (which I doubt), it’s on his end. By all accounts, he’s a good guy and his teammates like him.
The issue is, as with many rookies, he’s been driving beautifully at 70 mph, and NBA players go 200 mph. I believe he can adjust, but again, the excuses don’t serve him well.
Watch DSP Vision commercials for 4 hours straight with no breaks or make out with Peaches for 4 minutes straight with no breaks. Before the decision, Peaches has just brushed his teeth and you have just drank 4 bottles of water.
If we had thornton we would have lost this game. If we didin’t have salmons we would have won this game. If we had cousins playing like his normal game we would have won, if chuck hayes was here it wouldin’t of been so bad.
Those are the reasons. (and if garcia hit his fkn open 3s FFS)
He’s not hurting us salary-wise, he made no fuss while he sat, and he’s answered the call when called upon. He’s not the solution, but he sure as hell ain’t the problem.
Looked at the box score: Jimmer with only 2 shots?!
What is he doing out there??? This team didn’t bring him in to play defense or pass every time. They brought him to shoot the rock! 2 shots is unacceptable from him. He needs to shoot the ball and do what he’s best at or his minutes should rightly be limited.
I thought it before and my opinion is just reaffirmed that Jimmer will not succeed in the NBA without the ball in his hands. He’s never played without it before. It’d be like relearning the entire game for him.
He’s honestly not being guarded as close as he was in college. He’s missing open shots. When that’s the case, it’s more an issue of confidence and trying to make it in the NBA rather than trying to be good in the NBA.
I’ve seen Jimmer shoot dozens of shots with defenders all over him and they still have gone in the last few years. He’s not playing his game anymore. If he did, he would be a lot more successful.
at this point I’m cool with what Smart decides to do. If this trend continues much longer (like 3 to 5 games longer) sure seems to me it would be a little nuts not to have IT in front
Care to explain why? I always forget about his accomplishments...
I still have his jersey hanging, and I’ve talked to him numerous times in my life. I hated the trade initially with Landry, but I still to this day, don’t miss him
i do think his teamates need to l;ook for him a little bit more. But coach cant play him if he doesn’t improve on d. We dont have a shot blocker this year which makes his poor d show up even more,
Houston just needs to be lucky to get the win, Shoot Improbable shots and Dalembert? LOL
and Cousins has a disastrous night.
And Salmons…. What more can I say?
Decent effort tonight. YEah, Salmons is an albatross right now
Smart has to be willing to diminish his minutes when he’s playing like this. Make him earn them back with performance. Can’t just trot him out there for 30 a night regardless.
It’s IT is a keeper. Fredette with a fredettable night, Jordan Hill with 1 reb, 1 TO, 1 Foul in 11 minutes, Chandler Parsons 36 minutes (!) 11 pt/6 rebs, Pat Patterson with 4 points 3 reb in 14 min.
playing your old team is always a boost for these guys. You would think Drew Gooden or Quentin Richardson would be all-stars they have played for so many squads
considering we just played the Rockets who are letting their second 2nd round pick start even though their first round pick has same position and has seen a stint in the D League
The knock on Jimmer was that he shot too much and wasn't a willing passer. I think he's trying too hard to shake that stigma and it's costing him big time
2 shots in the game is not how he will get better.
He needs to take shots and get his stroke back. There’s no way he gets better if he doesn’t. It’s not like nobody misses shots on the team. He’d fit right in even if he kept missing. At least he’d probably find it eventually.
UGH I just wana cry. cousins with a terrible game, and dalembert who i cant stand and in reality sucks, had a good game, DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s an ad — the name of the sporting goods company “Peak” but the name on the sign is the Chinese company name in Chinese, literally “China Peak” (zhongguo pi-ke 中国匹克). Interesting, kinda cool, kinda random…
He has had time to develop and i think he may not be who we want him to be a 3 ball shooter
i know what your thinking give him more time…..well i am tried of waiting,my friend.john salmons is a bust for sure why petrie hired this no talent bum is beyond me.so here we are win one game lose five games.this is not going to get people to buy tickets and help build a arena.o.k. had my bitch session,GO KINGS!!
BiPolarity is a given in most King's fan. WE.MUST.KEEP.HOPE.ALIVE
Without hope what do we have? 10 players that can’t play, bankrupt owners, an unnamed crumbling arena. All we have left is a diminishing bottle of hope that I choose to view as half full. Or not. Can anyone blme us for our BiPolarity?
I think I may be Bipolar in everything except the Kings which is wierd
When we win (unless its against the [Redacted]) I try not to get too excited. When we lose, even in the most disappointing fashion, I try to stay as reasonable and realistic as possible, without blowing over in frustration
Watch the game. Go eat dinner.Tonight I ate dinner
Six positive things if you;re ready to consider them:
1) Reke is getting his groove back and when he gets in shapes and can bring it for 40 minutes he is good enough to create wins.He was actually moving without the ball and looking for a pass in the paint and didn’t get them, I hope he has enough faith in Keith Smart to keep doing the right things even if they don’t pay immediate benefits.
2) We had no rights to expect anything from Isiah Thomas taken with the 60th pick and in a small sample size he is looking like a keeper off the bench, especially compared to the mini’s on the team recently like Sergio and Pooh who had their moments but where never looking like they were going to contribute much.
3) Cuz had a bad game, a miserable game by any standard but he has been playing better since Westphal’s departure. I’m going to look at this game as an outlier, chock it up to either a lingering chest cold or the Houston flu, whatever. He is usually going to contribute much more.
4) Chuck Hayes will be back fairly soon and we can definitely use his boards, his d and his leadership on the floor.
5) John Salmons will either revert to his mean and start playing the game Petrie thought he was getting which will help the team. If he keeps playing this badly he is going to be stuck on the bench and be this decades version of Kenny Thomas. Either way we won’t have to watch him spew crap all over the floor for much longer.
6) JJ Hickson is looking to be useful in the paint where he can be fed for a dunk in a way that JT has never excelled at. He brings speed, intensity and athleticism we haven’t had from the frontcourt.
Extra bonus optimism point: I initially started with only two points and it wasn’t that hard to come up with four more.
1 – Salmons is an aging veteran who is playing selfishly and like he has either lost it, doesn’t want to be here or both. I can understand Smart not wanting to immediately bench him, but he has to start reducing his minutes.
2 – Jimmer is a rookie who is learning the ropes and giving you 100% at all times. He’s having growing pains, but you need to keep feeding him minutes to let him develop. The extra couple of losses you might absorb early in the season will pay dividends later on. I’m also fine with Thomas coming off of the bench, because he provides a nice spark that our bench was missing earlier in the season before his emergence.
1. We all know that Salmons is capable of more than he is currently showing. There is a complete lack of anything remotely resembling intensity in his game, which suggests to me that he is just not that into being here. Right now, I think it is more mental for him. He is making good money, so perhaps he just doesn’t care all that much. Hopefully, something will light a fire under him and get him to start playing for us, again.
2. Agree 100% about Jimmer. By keeping Jimmer on the floor and in the starting line-up Smart is giving him the message that he has confidence in him. Also agree with your thoughts about IT. He is giving a spark to the team, so whether he gets his minutes early in the game or later in the game, makes no difference. At least, we can feel he is on the bench and has something to give to the team.
Like what coach said, the ball distribution is not the problem
Its the receiver of the pass, he can’t decide whether to shoot or dribble or pass again, they are not there yet. thats why we see too much dribbling, they are still finding their best position on where to shoot.
I did notice better off ball movement tonight. Especially early on.
When the Rockets started pulling away and hitting some tough shots, we seemed to panic and start playing too much 1 on 1. That kind of impatience is expected though from a young team on the road. Baby steps though. This was a livable loss tonight.
Plus, sometimes if they make a pass to the open man, the receiver is not in a position to just catch it and shoot
it makes sense to make an extra pass but if you have the shot why hesitate to take it, i guess their confidence to shoot it is just low. tyreke , for one , has a lot of confidence lately with his shot, midrange and 3 pts. shot, he’s not afraid if it goes in or out. that’s what the others need, the confidence to shoot.
One good example is Lowry , when he shoot it Jimmer range
If he doesnt have the confidence to shoot it, it will not go in. thats what some of our shooters dont have right now especially Jimmer. Even Cisco, he has one wide open 3 pt. shot and he miss. Confidence right now is low.
Kobe Bryant has a pinky injury, a broken shooting hand if im not mistaken, but if he wants to shoot, he will make those shots because he’s confident that he will make it. Michael Jordan shot the free throw back then with his eyes close, and he made those shot.
Guys that do nothing but shoot need to come off the bench. All outside shooters that don’t do much more are streaky. Jimmer, Marcus and Salmon should come of the bench. MT should be the first on off the bench. Love MT but rather see a line up like this:
Thomas
Reke
Garcia
Hickson
DMC
with the option to play
Thomas
MT
Reke
Hickson
DMC
We need a passing guard in the starting line up. And I don’t want Reke to loose his size advantage starting a SF. Playing this line up is fine, just not a good starting line up for size issues.
good point guards have a certain timeing to there passing, right as players come off curls plant that first foot, pick and rolls, hit the guy instride, if it’s a big man while he’s close to the basket so he doesn’t have to dribble too much, things like that. things that make point guards the best passers on the team. we need a passing point guard, period.

Slam_Dunk - January 13, 2012
Lowry is the man
SharkKings49 - January 13, 2012
you think Peja would come out of retirement?
hes a huge upgrade for some minutes at the 3, why not?
OKO - January 13, 2012
How is that a travel when the defneder gets his hands on the ball
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
same complaint
Evan A - January 13, 2012
I wouldn't mind some Cuz in the game
sdfd - January 13, 2012
Parsons kid can play a little, eh?
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
I'm not sure this Kings team likes Jimmer much.
They just don’t seem to trust him to take shots…..
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
hard when he doesn't trust his own shot
Bluejohn - January 13, 2012
Teammates don't pass him the ball.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
disagree he's lacking confidence in his own game and its noticeable
jadams12 - January 13, 2012
i really think he needs to hit 3 or 4 3's in a row
and then him and his teammates will have more confidence, until then, this is what we are gonna get
OKO - January 13, 2012
i think jimmer would flourish in an up tempo style
sacman - January 13, 2012
hahahaha
andy sims - January 13, 2012
Why do you laugh?
That’s what BYU was last year. They were one of the highest scoring teams in the nation.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
Because he's the slowest guy on the court.
andy sims - January 13, 2012
id like to see him get some more looks in transition
steph curry isn’t much faster and he thrives in an up tempo, steve nash isnt much faster. are they??
sacman - January 13, 2012
Yes
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
i dont know about that
sacman - January 13, 2012
I don't think so
He just seems really tentative about everything he does right now.
otis29 - January 13, 2012
i agree
he’s not playing well at all. didnt play to poorly tonight, i thought anyways
sacman - January 13, 2012
He always has been
He’s ran an up-tempo offense the last two years, though.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
Honest question
Why is it up to Thomas to carve out his spot on this team, but it’s up to the team to carve out Jimmer’s spot?
section214 - January 13, 2012
Honestly
I just think Thomas just fits in more. Jimmer is different from them. He’s a short white guy that grew up in a different culture. It seems like they like Isaiah more since he’s more similar. It’s hard to flourish in the environment like that. Might be a good idea to trade him to the Suns, quite honestly.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
Get the eff out of here with that nonsense
Isaiah’s played exceptionally well, Jimmer hasn’t. That’s the deal.
otis29 - January 13, 2012
So you think this is a race issue?
Wow.
section214 - January 13, 2012
But you proved my point
Every player comes into the NBA having to earn their stripes except for Fredette, as a team should adjust to him or be labeled as bigots.
section214 - January 13, 2012
What different culture does he mean?
And could you please offer your thoughts on whether or not it’s superior?
andy sims - January 13, 2012
An LDS culture, or Mormon
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
So you think that just because of that they don't like him?
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
Nah.
It’s just hard for them to relate. It’s really different when everyone around you isn’t in the same type of culture of LDS mostly white people. As a BYU student, I can attest to that. It’s nothing about race. It’s just about it’s difficult to relate.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
When you get on a basketball court, no one is going to freeze you out for something like that
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
And the second question?
andy sims - January 13, 2012
And I wasn't condemning any culture.
I was just saying that Jimmer is a bit different.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
Is John Salmons different? Is that why he's struggling?
andy sims - January 13, 2012
No.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
I think Fredette is going to be a fine pro.
That’s not a shot at Fredette, and if you must take it that way, it’s a shot at 80% of the guards in the NBA.
andy sims - January 13, 2012
I think he can be a point guard, small sample size still
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
For what it's worth, the small sample size argues clearly against that notion.
andy sims - January 13, 2012
I just think it's possible it's making it harder for Jimmer to fit in a gain a good chemistry with the players.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
I believe he can adjust, but again, the excuses don’t serve him well.
andy sims - January 13, 2012
didn't Jimmer grow up in upstate New York
and play pickup games in a state prison yard?
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012

Reke_Havoc13 - January 13, 2012

Bitgod - January 13, 2012
Looked at the box score: Jimmer with only 2 shots?!
What is he doing out there??? This team didn’t bring him in to play defense or pass every time. They brought him to shoot the rock! 2 shots is unacceptable from him. He needs to shoot the ball and do what he’s best at or his minutes should rightly be limited.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
He's regressed IMO
At first, I thought he was just being unselfish. Now, I think he’s just struggling with the talent level he’s playing against.
otis29 - January 13, 2012
Needs to play PG or this will continue.
I thought it before and my opinion is just reaffirmed that Jimmer will not succeed in the NBA without the ball in his hands. He’s never played without it before. It’d be like relearning the entire game for him.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
Could be a viscious circle
Until he shows he should have the ball in his hands, he isn’t getting the ball in his hands?
otis29 - January 13, 2012
I don't think he will succeed, then.
Simply put, he doesn’t know how to play without the ball.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
And I don't think it's the talent level.
He’s honestly not being guarded as close as he was in college. He’s missing open shots. When that’s the case, it’s more an issue of confidence and trying to make it in the NBA rather than trying to be good in the NBA.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
Could be right
otis29 - January 13, 2012
I know it's right.
I’ve seen Jimmer shoot dozens of shots with defenders all over him and they still have gone in the last few years. He’s not playing his game anymore. If he did, he would be a lot more successful.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
This is the NBA though
He can’t dictate to play the game his way. It’s big boy time, and he needs to step up.
otis29 - January 13, 2012
By playing his game
I mean actually taking shots and being aggressive.

betweentheeyes - January 13, 2012
We may want to reverse that for awhile.
andy sims - January 13, 2012
Yeah Lowry sucks.
Ichiban - January 13, 2012
beat you barely
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
His comes out first on mine
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
THE POINT STILL STANDS!
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
I think we tied.
Ichiban - January 13, 2012
Lowry sucks
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
Tied!!
Ichiban - January 13, 2012
Is DMC in foul trouble?
prowseinthehouse - January 13, 2012
He's in suck trouble
Off night.
andy sims - January 13, 2012
eaten alive by Dally
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
his game tonight is foul and in trouble
he will be back tomorrow and better
betweentheeyes - January 13, 2012
Salmons is a microbe that eats dead skin off a taint
Too far?
A Night At The Arco - January 13, 2012
Actually that is too far
That would suggest he does something
A Night At The Arco - January 13, 2012
Lol
Yea, he’s more like a microbe on a taint waiting to be fed.
bench_blob - January 13, 2012
creativity
i’ll give you that
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
Roe'd
otis29 - January 13, 2012
Dally straight up dominated us on the boards tonight.
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
Who is Isaiah Thomas' dad?
Portland's Cowboy fan - January 13, 2012
Mr. Thomas
section214 - January 13, 2012
Haha, the Rockets announcers
keep talking about how he keeps getting in the lane like his father did.
Portland's Cowboy fan - January 13, 2012
They are
going to be embarrassed.
HarveySpecter - January 13, 2012
he did ask
betweentheeyes - January 13, 2012
Not Zeke, as these retards seem to think.
VenomySnicket - January 13, 2012
Clarence.
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
not Isaih Thomas
the Rockets announers have zero clue
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
Yeah I thought that's who they were referring to
not the brightest group
Portland's Cowboy fan - January 13, 2012
Same guys who referred to Mike Bibby
As Henry Bibby every time he played in Houston.
Olde Greg - January 13, 2012
Shawn Kemp
otis29 - January 13, 2012
Shawn Kemp is everyone's daddy
Bitgod - January 13, 2012
People will be playing "six degrees of Shawn Kemp"
A thousand years from now.
otis29 - January 13, 2012
He's the modern day Abraham
his children will be like stars in the sky!
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
winner
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
How long
Will the argument of ‘small sample size’ be used when people argue IT should start over Fredette….
Toby93 - January 13, 2012
Only 50 more games...
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
I am fine either way until about 15 or so games into the season
coming up
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
Isaiah's forced his way into those minutes
Gonna be up to Jimmer to get them back.
otis29 - January 13, 2012
let's just say
at this point I’m cool with what Smart decides to do. If this trend continues much longer (like 3 to 5 games longer) sure seems to me it would be a little nuts not to have IT in front
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
There's no shame in Jimmer struggling in year one or learning the league in limited minutes
It’s as much a compliment to what Isaiah’s doing right now.
otis29 - January 13, 2012
I don't even like that stupid ass foul from Salmons
HeuristicLineup - January 13, 2012
Can't even foul correctly.
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
We got rid of Martin for whom exactly?
HarveySpecter - January 13, 2012
Landry and then Thornton
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
Landry which got us Thornton
prowseinthehouse - January 13, 2012
Alzheimer's is a bitch
Isn’t it?
HeuristicLineup - January 13, 2012
True story. I should have ended it with /rhetorical. I kinda wish we'd kept Martin.
HarveySpecter - January 13, 2012
It wouldn't be much different
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
Care to explain why? I always forget about his accomplishments...
I still have his jersey hanging, and I’ve talked to him numerous times in my life. I hated the trade initially with Landry, but I still to this day, don’t miss him
HeuristicLineup - January 13, 2012
I do, solely because he is one of my favorite players
But I don’t think he would be an improvement
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
give me
Jimmer, future 2nd rounder for 1st rounder between 15-20
jadams12 - January 13, 2012
huh?
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
I hope to God Jimmer follows the Stockton/Nash path
sucks his first couple of years, then becomes a superstar. Shut up.
DWeissbart - January 13, 2012
First couple of year? It's been 12 games.
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
What I am saying is give the kid a break. It takes point guards a while to develop.
See: Nash, Stockton, Billups, Lowry, Rondo, etc, etc etc.
DWeissbart - January 13, 2012
Agree
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
It does take point guards time to develop.
Especially when that isn’t the position they are best suited for in the NBA.
andy sims - January 13, 2012
It's obviously been 2 years
duh.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
Can you read?
DWeissbart - January 13, 2012
/sarcasm
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
So you're saying Jimmer won't improve the rest of the season?
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
I AM SAYING ITS TOO SOON TO GIVE UP ON HIM AND TRADE HIM!
DWeissbart - January 13, 2012
It was easy to get a different opinion the way its worded
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
Gotcha.
My original response was in response to somebody suggesting that we trade Jimmer already. So I was mad.
DWeissbart - January 13, 2012
Everyone's mad
I get angrier by the some fan’s reactions than any Kings loss, even if they get blown out by 40 to be honest
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
i think he'll be ok
i do think his teamates need to l;ook for him a little bit more. But coach cant play him if he doesn’t improve on d. We dont have a shot blocker this year which makes his poor d show up even more,
sacman - January 13, 2012
37-53 2nd half
Guh.
section214 - January 13, 2012
Knocks the two backdoor Reke cuts right out of you...
HeuristicLineup - January 13, 2012
we arent gonna win many games
with the worst offensive team in the league
sacman - January 13, 2012
Why would you foul like that?
No foul means one more possession for us to make the game look less bad
Portland's Cowboy fan - January 13, 2012
At least we had tried despite the loss
Houston just needs to be lucky to get the win, Shoot Improbable shots and Dalembert? LOL
and Cousins has a disastrous night.
And Salmons…. What more can I say?
mjalmighty - January 13, 2012
Darn, this was one of the games I thought we'd win.
No dancing tonight!
Slam_Dunk - January 13, 2012
Bullshit game.
If John Salmons deserved to play 32 minutes tonight, I am the Pope.
bench_blob - January 13, 2012
Decent effort tonight. YEah, Salmons is an albatross right now
Smart has to be willing to diminish his minutes when he’s playing like this. Make him earn them back with performance. Can’t just trot him out there for 30 a night regardless.
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
Where's cousins?
SaKINGS - January 13, 2012
So everybody is in agreement then...
Salmons must leave the Kings forever.
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
I think that was in agreement when he left the last time
prowseinthehouse - January 13, 2012
Petrie didn't receive the memo, did he?
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
I'm in .He's out
Slam_Dunk - January 13, 2012
the pope on str
crazy
sacman - January 13, 2012
If DMC showed up tonight, ahhhhh!
Oh well, let’s all just laugh at how crap Salmons is.
Toby93 - January 13, 2012
outrebounded 36-55, 4-20 from 3pt
betweentheeyes - January 13, 2012
And DeMarcus got punked by Sammy.
Big step back tonight, Cousins.
bench_blob - January 13, 2012
I just hope he doesn't ask to be traded
Toby93 - January 13, 2012
Monstrous!
HeuristicLineup - January 13, 2012
Look at the fat ass up on the TV with Jerry and that person's fat ass.
andy sims - January 13, 2012
I only look at shapely apple-shaped ass. Feminine of origin.
But thanks for offer.
bench_blob - January 13, 2012
Tyreke
Had another solid night. Lone bright spot tonight
Reke_Havoc13 - January 13, 2012
Yup. and Isaiah not bad either.
Slam_Dunk - January 13, 2012
Actually thoguht JT played better than his numbers too. He's been impressing me recently.
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
Garcia didn't play too bad either
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
If only he could hit his 3s
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
Salmons had enough Salmonella already.
mjalmighty - January 13, 2012
Petrie's got to go if he doesn't do something
draft night was a disaster
jadams12 - January 13, 2012
Isaiah Thomas, baby!
Jimmer will be fine too, it’ll just take a little more time for him. Honeydew I don’t know much about cuz he’s in Reno.
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
salmons.
jadams12 - January 13, 2012
I don't think even Salmons makes draft night a disaster
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
Don't remind us, please.
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
Honeycutt has been pretty disappointing from what I've heard and read
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
that sucks.
Hopefully he is a faster learner than Hasaan is.
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
Petrie's bangin Salmons.
Only logical explanation.
brobro - January 13, 2012
What are the odds Thornton plays tomorrow?
Portland's Cowboy fan - January 13, 2012
probably sits tomorrow night and plays Mon
brobro - January 13, 2012
Jason Jones tweeted that Thornton will not play tomorrow
Reke_Havoc13 - January 13, 2012
Honestly...
Against any decent team we crumble. I dread the Mavs tomorrow, and against a Rubio, Love, T-Wolves led by Adelman.
HarveySpecter - January 13, 2012
We need a schedule where we play the Raptors, Wizards and the Nets repeatedly.
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
Bring Salmons back to the D-League..
mjalmighty - January 13, 2012
Of the young guns on both teams
It’s IT is a keeper. Fredette with a fredettable night, Jordan Hill with 1 reb, 1 TO, 1 Foul in 11 minutes, Chandler Parsons 36 minutes (!) 11 pt/6 rebs, Pat Patterson with 4 points 3 reb in 14 min.
betweentheeyes - January 13, 2012
"Fredettable." Wonderful.
andy sims - January 13, 2012
Yep
Chandler Parsons, a 2nd round rookie, outplayed our highest paid player. Sleep on that, Petrie.
bench_blob - January 13, 2012
Could pretty much say that about every player on the court. Including the ball boys.
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
Fun Fact
Dalembert came into tonight averaging under 6 points, under 6 boards, and under 2 blocks. Tonight’s line: 21, 16 & 4.
section214 - January 13, 2012
I blame Salmons.
brobro - January 13, 2012
That line would just piss me off as a Rocket fan.
HeuristicLineup - January 13, 2012
A sensation for the Haitian
playing your old team is always a boost for these guys. You would think Drew Gooden or Quentin Richardson would be all-stars they have played for so many squads
betweentheeyes - January 13, 2012
and us assholes (absolutely myself included) were talkin bout a big game from DMC
yikes!
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
I was much more logical
And picked a big game form Salmons…
HeuristicLineup - January 13, 2012
I picked Outlaw
betweentheeyes - January 13, 2012
You win the logic award!
HeuristicLineup - January 13, 2012
Makes you wonder if Dwight Howard even wanted to play the night they were in Sac...
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
send Jimmer to the d league for a short stint
see if he can regain some of the shooting stroke
sacman - January 13, 2012
idk if the kings could take another a PR hit
jadams12 - January 13, 2012
I'd agree, but we kind of lack depth as is.
I’d rather play him over Salmons, and we are still missing Thornton.
DWeissbart - January 13, 2012
Send Salmons to the d-league
Slam_Dunk - January 13, 2012
I don't think that is a bad idea. It would get his confidence up.
He would dominate the d-league.
Slam_Dunk - January 13, 2012
kind of funny
considering we just played the Rockets who are letting their second 2nd round pick start even though their first round pick has same position and has seen a stint in the D League
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
The knock on Jimmer was that he shot too much and wasn't a willing passer. I think he's trying too hard to shake that stigma and it's costing him big time
Reke_Havoc13 - January 13, 2012
yeah
he’ll come around i really believe so. He’s gotta work harder on d
sacman - January 13, 2012
well the real concern actually was his ballhandling and defense
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
yeah you dont forghet how to shoot.
sacman - January 13, 2012
2 shots in the game is not how he will get better.
He needs to take shots and get his stroke back. There’s no way he gets better if he doesn’t. It’s not like nobody misses shots on the team. He’d fit right in even if he kept missing. At least he’d probably find it eventually.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
i agree he's just a rookie i'm not completely down with jimmer
jadams12 - January 13, 2012
He played 4 years at BYU. A shooter doesn't forget how to shoot and certainly doesn't forget how to play
Reke_Havoc13 - January 13, 2012
How do shooters remember how to shoot?
They keep shooting! And he’s not. That’s the big problem here.
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
UGH I just wana cry. cousins with a terrible game, and dalembert who i cant stand and in reality sucks, had a good game, DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CousinsEvansDUO - January 13, 2012
Dally doesn't suck.
He had a bigger game than normal tonight but he doesn’t suck, not hardly.
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
Well stated.
andy sims - January 13, 2012
Smart taking the blame and complimenting the opposition
gotta love it
betweentheeyes - January 13, 2012
does he have a button at the top of his forehead?
betweentheeyes - January 13, 2012
Watching the post game and I like what Keith Smart is saying.
He’s putting a lot of emphasize on “It all starts with me”. Definitely like the accountability
Reke_Havoc13 - January 13, 2012
Whoa
“It starts with me…I gotta do a better job…” Two sentences the former coach never uttered.
bench_blob - January 13, 2012
I haven't seen someone so happy to be an NBA coach in a long time
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
He's still learning...I like his accountability.
Slam_Dunk - January 13, 2012
Wait... wait.. I'm confused...
this isn’t Cousins fault? Or Tyrekes? Smart is saying… it’s his fault???
You can’t blame salmons even? Someone? Not yourself?
HeuristicLineup - January 13, 2012
It's a great way to protect the players.
Andy Reid does the same thing and the media hate his guts.
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
Its pretty much a damned if you do damned if you don't in most situations
But in this case, it’s almost a relief
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
I really dig that he's doing that.
He’s a "smart’ man.
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
I do too
I’m just referring to your Andy Reid comment. Some like coaches taking accountability, and others think they shouldn’t protect them
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
oh okay sorry, I was cornfused is all.
You are definitely correct.
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
The team is too young to place the blame on them
It was my problem with Westphal. I liked Smart’s press conference a lot. He had an opportunity to single out Cousins, but instead diverted.
HeuristicLineup - January 13, 2012
Smart said Cousins was sick tonight?
Reke_Havoc13 - January 13, 2012
Tequilla does make people sick
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
No it doesn't... I am happy, healthy... and pickled...
kromeace - January 13, 2012
Too much Haitian steak, probably.
sj60615 - January 13, 2012
Looked a bit on the ill side.
Def looked tired
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
it's hit a few of the players the last two weeks
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
He's been fighting "chest congestion" all week
HeuristicLineup - January 13, 2012
Cousins sick.
He looked very tired. That explains his play tonight.
Slam_Dunk - January 13, 2012
Reke and JJ were both sick earlier this week too
wallywagon11 - January 13, 2012
Its contagious
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
Got a piece of bad Salmons
section214 - January 13, 2012
They got a piece of Salmonella..
mjalmighty - January 13, 2012
rec
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
Unfortunately, I think we all got a taste of bad Salmons tonight;)
Slam_Dunk - January 13, 2012
Dalembert is also SICK..
mjalmighty - January 13, 2012
I said in the beginning he looked slow...
kromeace - January 13, 2012
Hmm, ok.
bench_blob - January 13, 2012
He's sick of losing a game like this...well thats how I feel lately
KINGKENJI - January 13, 2012
Watching Salmons play basketball is like....
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
Watching a Salmon Out of Water.
Flopping and Flailing and Going Nowhere.
bench_blob - January 13, 2012
ty for making me laugh.
DiegoKing - January 13, 2012
Watching that thing on his face grow.
Slam_Dunk - January 14, 2012
Will some shout at Jimmer to just catch and shoot the ball
KINGKENJI - January 13, 2012
We Win if Salmons will have DNP on his Stat Line.. (Or at least we have a fighting chance)
mjalmighty - January 13, 2012
I don't want to wish an injury on any player but I sort of wish it was Salmons with the thigh contusion instead of Thornton
Reke_Havoc13 - January 13, 2012
Sorry, fish don't have thighs.
sj60615 - January 13, 2012
Contradicting comment
KINGKENJI - January 13, 2012
I know it is. I don't want to wish injury on anyone but I would prefer a healthy Thornton over a healthy Salmons right now
Reke_Havoc13 - January 13, 2012
I like that the goal posts in Houston (and the Toyota Cener no less)
in Mandarin
betweentheeyes - January 13, 2012
Could be left over from the Yao Ming days.
Did you catch what it said?
sj60615 - January 13, 2012
it says that "Yao Ming is a player and Sam Dalembert sucks, he's just lucky sometimes"
KINGKENJI - January 13, 2012
got it
It’s an ad — the name of the sporting goods company “Peak”
but the name on the sign is the Chinese company name in Chinese, literally “China Peak” (zhongguo pi-ke 中国匹克). Interesting, kinda cool, kinda random…
sj60615 - January 13, 2012
want improvement?
Bench Salmon for Garcia and Jimmer for Isiaih
kendogfunky - January 13, 2012
Is jimmer a bust?
He has had time to develop and i think he may not be who we want him to be a 3 ball shooter
i know what your thinking give him more time…..well i am tried of waiting,my friend.john salmons is a bust for sure why petrie hired this no talent bum is beyond me.so here we are win one game lose five games.this is not going to get people to buy tickets and help build a arena.o.k. had my bitch session,GO KINGS!!
cowboyron96@yahoo.com - January 13, 2012
That's not fair to say after about 11 games in the NBA
Mr. Rockie - January 13, 2012
This is CowboyRon
We don’t usually argue with him
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
Plus, this guy was right about Westphal.
swoosh91 - January 13, 2012
That too
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
And to be fair, my Jimmer has busted plenty of times before, so he might be onto something
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
Yep, just rec and move on
otis29 - January 13, 2012
...or expose him to direct sunlight
section214 - January 13, 2012
I honestly don't understand how you aren't a professional writer.
I have rec’d every post of yours for quite some time now.
Cowboyron is my doug christie punching Rick Fox .gif, I’m forced to autorec him each and every time.
HeuristicLineup - January 14, 2012
Bur can he produce in the playoffs?
Sure, cowboyron is putting up some gaudy numbers, but I don’t see any rings on those fingers…
section214 - January 14, 2012
He makes Isaiah Thomas look warm blooded
HeuristicLineup - January 14, 2012
its ok tomorow mavericks will get destroyed by cousins because he will be motivated from this terrible performance.
CousinsEvansDUO - January 13, 2012
I think it's funny (in a good way) how you go from being extremely mad to extremely optimistic in like 5 minutes
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
And Raiderkings has just crossed over onto the enemies list
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
You mean I wasn't there before?
What kind of list are you guys making?!
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
Then best of friends when we win in a 40 point blowout that cousinsevansduo called
swoosh91 - January 13, 2012
Ha!
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
BiPolarity is a given in most King's fan. WE.MUST.KEEP.HOPE.ALIVE
Without hope what do we have? 10 players that can’t play, bankrupt owners, an unnamed crumbling arena. All we have left is a diminishing bottle of hope that I choose to view as half full. Or not. Can anyone blme us for our BiPolarity?
Bluejohn - January 13, 2012
I think I may be Bipolar in everything except the Kings which is wierd
When we win (unless its against the [Redacted]) I try not to get too excited. When we lose, even in the most disappointing fashion, I try to stay as reasonable and realistic as possible, without blowing over in frustration
raiderking21 - January 13, 2012
I love you. I hate you. More posts. Stop posting.
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
Bluejohn - January 13, 2012
Agree on all six.
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
You should probably repost this in the post game thread. Not sure many people are coming back here.
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
These were great points, deserving of a post on its own merits.
Slam_Dunk - January 14, 2012
position and money
The only reason i can see why Salmon is still in the starting line up is Pay, and for Jimmer, draft postion, grow a pair coach
kendogfunky - January 13, 2012
Halfway agree.
They are two very different situations:

I agree with both of your points, SJ

This was a livable loss tonight.

you're right
but we were saying the same thing back when Reggie and Kenny Natt were coaching the Kings.
Bluejohn - January 13, 2012
Lol. I don't think anyone was praising ball movement when Reggie and Natt were coaching
We mostly watched Hawes have his conniption fits when he was isolated in the high post and JT do, well whatever, you called those moves JT did.

KINGKENJI - January 13, 2012
Good point. Hopefully this is something Smart can teach.
SPTSJUNKIE - January 13, 2012
One good example is Lowry , when he shoot it Jimmer range
If he doesnt have the confidence to shoot it, it will not go in. thats what some of our shooters dont have right now especially Jimmer. Even Cisco, he has one wide open 3 pt. shot and he miss. Confidence right now is low.
KINGKENJI - January 13, 2012
I hate to point this but this one is a true fact.
Kobe Bryant has a pinky injury, a broken shooting hand if im not mistaken, but if he wants to shoot, he will make those shots because he’s confident that he will make it. Michael Jordan shot the free throw back then with his eyes close, and he made those shot.
KINGKENJI - January 13, 2012
Keith is a Smart Coach, he'll figure it out that confidence is missing.

shooters
Guys that do nothing but shoot need to come off the bench. All outside shooters that don’t do much more are streaky. Jimmer, Marcus and Salmon should come of the bench. MT should be the first on off the bench. Love MT but rather see a line up like this:
Thomas
Reke
Garcia
Hickson
DMC
with the option to play
Thomas
MT
Reke
Hickson
DMC
We need a passing guard in the starting line up. And I don’t want Reke to loose his size advantage starting a SF. Playing this line up is fine, just not a good starting line up for size issues.
kendogfunky - January 13, 2012
We don't need a passing guard, we have a lot of passers on the team.
We just need to convert those passes into an ASSIST. You know, when someone pass you the ball and you shoot it and make them?
KINGKENJI - January 13, 2012
good point guards
good point guards have a certain timeing to there passing, right as players come off curls plant that first foot, pick and rolls, hit the guy instride, if it’s a big man while he’s close to the basket so he doesn’t have to dribble too much, things like that. things that make point guards the best passers on the team. we need a passing point guard, period.
