The nationwide thirst for Sacramento Kings has resulted in the team's road game next Tuesday being added to NBA TV as a part of the league's Fan Night promotion. Each week, fans vote on which of roughly five non-nationally televised games to add to the NBA TV lineup on Tuesday night. This week, according to the NBA, fans resoundingly chose the Kings.
While no exit polls were conducted, it is believed that the Kings' Fan Night victory can be attributed to John Salmons Fever, a phenomenon sweeping the nation as everyone is buzzing about the unprecedented performances that the bearded man continues to accomplish. Minor outbreaks of Jimmermania and Travis OutLULZ are also suspected to be involved.
The game will be broadcast on Comcast SportsNet California as well, in case you prefer the soothing sounds of Grant Napear and Jerry Reynolds to those biased out-of-market clownfrauds.
The game will be played against the Miami Heat.

Linseed Oil > Fish Oil
This is great. At least the Kings made a great impression against the Thunder.

for me, nba tv doesn't count as national tv bc no one watches the MBA tv games
I don’t even have the channel. The real national tv is on espn and TNT. There’s a lot of hype around that.
2001nbachampions - February 17, 2012 via iPhone app
It's national TV in a sense
There are still people who don’t have any sort of cable, so ESPN and TNT wouldn’t be what they consider National TV.
Not everyone has it, but it is national TV in the sense that it’s not local TV.
Exhibit G - February 17, 2012
For real?
I watch the games on NBA TV and usually catch Gametime in the evening to get a recap of the scores for the night. I’m sure a lot of people do.
thewaterispoison - February 17, 2012
I only have League Pass Broadband (no cable), so I'm screwed.
They don’t show NBATV games on LP. I guess I’ll have to find a stream somewhere.
Shizzo - February 17, 2012
MBA tv we are the 2%
Kfan in Korea - February 17, 2012
Love this so, so much.
Christina_J - February 17, 2012
Fans probably voted
Jus see the heat blow us out of the water. Or more dunks from lebron
aizen07 - February 17, 2012 via mobile
Jeez
He had a dunk the other night (forget who it was against) where he found a seam in the defense straight down the center of the key. The dunk was nice, but his acceleration getting to that lane was ridiculous.
The guy is an amazing athlete, no doubt about it.
otis29 - February 17, 2012
he's alright I suppose
;)
wallywagon11 - February 17, 2012
I don't think so...
We have Hassan Whiteside.
caseycheesecake - February 17, 2012
Bulls fans voted us in
Because they know how hard the Kings play on National TV nights.
RJinFairOaks - February 17, 2012
I smell another BLACKOUT!!!
get your glowsticks ready, George!

actually turns out they just wanted to see the team coached by the guy who practiced with Linsanity.

"I am totally excited"
Dub_TC - February 17, 2012
Good to know the country wanted to see the Kings, not the Heat.
CoolFinity - February 17, 2012
More proof that NBA fans are dunces.

Is it just me or does this feel more like fans coming to the Colosseum to see gladiators get mauled by lions
SPTSJUNKIE - February 17, 2012
It's more like unarmed gladiators getting mauled by lions, if Cousins is still out with back spasms
CousinsCuz - February 17, 2012
I don't even want to think about that. Hopefully Cuz is back.
SPTSJUNKIE - February 17, 2012
I think he will be, cause i heard he was gonna try and play tonight
CousinsCuz - February 17, 2012
I love me a Roman Holiday!
RJinFairOaks - February 17, 2012
All kidding aside, this was one of the better match-ups
for people to vote for. Provided the Kings show up
CLopez63 - February 17, 2012
That's a 50-50 proposition
Hopefully being on national television helps.
SPTSJUNKIE - February 17, 2012
WHO THE F**K IS GONNA GUARD LEBRON?!?!

IT
Slam_Dunk - February 17, 2012
Was I the only one who saw IT block Welsey Matthews
Thats what will happen when Lebron tries to get the dunk of the year on IT
CousinsCuz - February 17, 2012
You weren't the only one. I saw it too.
IT can do some surprising things. That would be totally awesome if IT were to block LeBron from a dunk. It would make every highlight reel and would be played for years to come.
Slam_Dunk - February 18, 2012
I really hate it when they do this
No NBA TV on our local cable provider and no legal way to stream it over the internet despite subscribing to League Pass broadband. Truly annoying.
SavageBeast - February 17, 2012
That's goofy.
I get the NBATV games on the international broadband. I assume they are just trying to make everyone in the states buy the cable version, but they should at least offer it as an upgrade to the broadband for people in your situation.
Kfan in Korea - February 17, 2012
Yea, I have NBA LP broadband as well (here in the good ol' USA)
and it’s super annoying. To the point that I’ve voted against games I wanted to see, just in the hopes it wouldn’t be stuck on NBATV.
Gonna have to go the shady route.
Shizzo - February 17, 2012
Yeah, NBA TV games are truly annoying
But the NBA wants you to tell your cable provider to pay the NBA a good bit of money to get NBA TV, so it works for them.
Tom Ziller - February 17, 2012
Good news, Bad news
Good news: Kings playing on national tv (I mean, if you don’t get nba tv, your cable provider is garbage)
Bad News: It’s against the Miami Freakin Heat! They’re going to skin us alive like the Predator and hang our carcasses from trees!
Tom A~! - February 17, 2012
They lost to Milwakee!
HeuristicLineup - February 17, 2012
twice
Wonderchild - February 17, 2012
Means nothing about the losses to Milw.
It’s all about match ups, strengths and weaknesses and when you look at it, the Kings are very much overwhelmed. DMC is the only matchup that favors the Kings. Just about every where else the Heat win the matchup. On top of that, the Heat feed on turnovers and the Kings love turning the ball over. Not a good sign of things to come
Tom A~! - February 17, 2012
hey. kings all the way. but id have to say that at least 75% of those votes were intended for MIA watching.....but still pumped to see it...
i didnt know that they closed the votes on that already…..
Nickcarmondog - February 17, 2012
I think u understimated it by 24%
Shizzo - February 17, 2012
Also does anyone know of any problems with DMC? my fantasy league is putting a "day to day" on him...I really hope hes not out....as an avid Boogie lover and as a fantasy manager w my favorite King! lolz
