I don't want to get into the race territory but why isn't a 60th draft pick getting any national attention while Jeremy Lin is getting attention from all angles?

Lin is winning a shit ton of games and putting up much bigger numbers (turnovers too!). And wasn’t even drafted and cut twice already this year and almost cut again. So …. ?
I mean its not like the Kings are simply standing around, they are trying to help but its the NBA people are standing around the 3 pt line for a reason (I mean except our guys.)

Getting rid of Reke and acting like progression does not exist. I try not to bash other users, but trading out 2nd best player because he isnt progressing fast enough is as stupid as it gets. They act like they will get Lebron James for him.

Tyreke makes one mistake, but I think we have a fairly long list of guys we want to cut before Reke. Let’s deal with getting rid of the crap who are lucky if they have one good play over a guy who made one mistake.
There was 1.0 or 1.1 seconds left when the foul was made.
But the rules state the clock does not stop exactly when the foul is committed on the floor; there has to be split moment for refs to blow whistle, and clock to stop, so about 0.5 seconds, in this case 0.6 to 0.7 seconds.
So yeah his shot was a good wide open shot, him missing though was expected and I don’t know why he continues to in late game situations, I’d rather see Donte out there

They were practically hanging on DMCs back all night. I seen MT23 get pummeled by a guy 6 inches taller then him on a loose ball foul. Can argue about this all night. Point is the refs were awful. Call it both ways. At least take a look at the instant-replay and set the clock right. If you want to hang reke about it then so be it.
But it’s obviously incredibly frustrating to see “the cornerstone of the franchise” play relatively inconsistently and barely improve his game well into his 3rd season. At most, he’s a more willing passer. I understand he had injury issues last season but to see him barely keep up with his level of play as a rookie at this point is concerning.
Everyones been making excuses for him but its clear he game hasn’t evolved at all since his rookie year. Hasn’t significantly improved his jumpshot, still no midrange game, still often times has tunnel vision, still makes awful decisions in traffic, still using the same resorting to the same eurostep move in transition, still has a low basketball IQ, hasn’t taken over the leadership role etc etc. Pretty much every statistic has been indicative of his decline. Not giving up on him necessarily but its becoming more clear that he’s not an elite player
He’s still just 21 and still has alot of physical talent. I’m just concerned that he hasn’t taken that next step like Westbrook, Rose, D-Will, and all the other elite point guards in the league did in their first few seasons
he has actually someone improved somewhere there a bit at least. Granted I still think the team needs a second point or ballhandler in there with him but still.
just noting the lack of progression in his game. I understand he’s still young and I’m still holding out hope for him to become a franchise player, but there’s not much that indicates that he’ll become that guy.
The most glaring thing to me is the number of bad games he's putting up
I looked it up and in his rookie year he only scored less then 10 points five times. in his sophomore year, nine times. So far in his third year, eight times. You’re supposed to have fewer bad games as you go, not more. Compare to Cousins who scored less than 10 points twenty two times in his first year, but so far only four times in his second year. Cousins is progressing and growing, why isn’t Tyreke?
I would set up an appointment with Tyreke (though quality communication is forbidden in the organization) and ask him point blank if he’s going to fix his jumper and create a long range game for himself. Any hesitation (or unconvincing answer) shown on his part and I would deal him soon as he gets on a hot streak. If he does say he’ll work then I would monitor his ethic and make sure he’s spending extra time after practice to work and get better with the coaches.
Happy with a lot of things I saw. Isaiah Thomas and Cousins showed me some great things. However, we once again can’t finish a game, and it hurts, but its something im used to seeing with this team. We need to continue giving minutes to Thornton, Reke, Cuz, IT, Jimmer, Donte, JT and everybody else has to work their ass off to even see the court. These are the guys that are most likely going to be their future, so, give them the minutes they need to show us if they WILL become our future.
I had to calm down before I commented or else I would have blasted Reke
Now that I’m calm it’s whatever.
I like your message. Smart needs to settle on a rotation & just stick with it. No more Salmons, Outlaw, & Garcia AT ALL. Limit Chucks & JJ’s minutes to fit with DMC’s foul situation & don’t be afraid to sit Reke for minutes if he isn’t playing well.
Ride IT, MT23, Reke, JT, DMC, Chuck, Donte, & JJ(I guess) until the damn wheels fall off. Salmons, Outlaw, & Cisco are colossal failures just chalk it up now.
IT looks like he is having a lot of fun out there.

But it’s obviously incredibly frustrating to see “the cornerstone of the franchise” play relatively inconsistently and barely improve his game well into his 3rd season. At most, he’s a more willing passer. I understand he had injury issues last season but to see him barely keep up with his level of play as a rookie at this point is concerning.

Everyones been making excuses for him but its clear he game hasn’t evolved at all since his rookie year. Hasn’t significantly improved his jumpshot, still no midrange game, still often times has tunnel vision, still makes awful decisions in traffic, still using the same resorting to the same eurostep move in transition, still has a low basketball IQ, hasn’t taken over the leadership role etc etc. Pretty much every statistic has been indicative of his decline. Not giving up on him necessarily but its becoming more clear that he’s not an elite player

The most glaring thing to me is the number of bad games he's putting up
I looked it up and in his rookie year he only scored less then 10 points five times. in his sophomore year, nine times. So far in his third year, eight times. You’re supposed to have fewer bad games as you go, not more. Compare to Cousins who scored less than 10 points twenty two times in his first year, but so far only four times in his second year. Cousins is progressing and growing, why isn’t Tyreke?

Well if I was Geoff Petrie...
I would set up an appointment with Tyreke (though quality communication is forbidden in the organization) and ask him point blank if he’s going to fix his jumper and create a long range game for himself. Any hesitation (or unconvincing answer) shown on his part and I would deal him soon as he gets on a hot streak. If he does say he’ll work then I would monitor his ethic and make sure he’s spending extra time after practice to work and get better with the coaches.

I watched the game.
Happy with a lot of things I saw. Isaiah Thomas and Cousins showed me some great things. However, we once again can’t finish a game, and it hurts, but its something im used to seeing with this team. We need to continue giving minutes to Thornton, Reke, Cuz, IT, Jimmer, Donte, JT and everybody else has to work their ass off to even see the court. These are the guys that are most likely going to be their future, so, give them the minutes they need to show us if they WILL become our future.

I like your message. Smart needs to settle on a rotation & just stick with it. No more Salmons, Outlaw, & Garcia AT ALL. Limit Chucks & JJ’s minutes to fit with DMC’s foul situation & don’t be afraid to sit Reke for minutes if he isn’t playing well.
Ride IT, MT23, Reke, JT, DMC, Chuck, Donte, & JJ(I guess) until the damn wheels fall off. Salmons, Outlaw, & Cisco are colossal failures just chalk it up now.

48 minutes between Reke and Donte and not sure if Reke should even be playing significant minutes there.

Salmons on the other hand… He needs to go. How many wide open 3’s did he miss tonight? 3? 4? How many in the last week? 15-20?
